Welcome to the online home for everyone interested in making their City into a National Park City.
London became the world’s first National Park City in July 2019, with Adelaide, becoming the second National Park City in 2021.
Over the next 18 months a host of new cities will become National Park Cities including; Glasgow, Cardiff, Galway, Rotterdam, Breda, Chattanooga, and growing campaigns in Tokyo, Berlin, Christchurch and many more.
The climate and biodiversity crises are driven by people’s disconnection from nature. As over 70% of people worldwide are expected to live in cities by 2050 this problem is only going to increase.
Our mission is to get more people outdoors, and bring the outdoors to more people – to reconnect every citizen with urban nature, and to equip communities with the ability to make their neighbourhoods greener, healthier and wilder.

What you can expect
Our community is to get to know and support each other as we build the National Park City movement together. We're here to:
- Get to know each other better – we start by building our community and movement together in each city.
- Meet, learn from, and share with each other through discussion, questions, meeting up and finding ways to help each other and work together.
- Share your stories, expertise, experiences, and ideas.
- Go deeper together as we shape our community together, adding more topics, places, events, and more.
- By building our community, we can go on to help more people help more cities to become National Park Cities: becoming greener, healthier and wilder together!
